Listed below are the charitable organizations that Verso Financial selected from this year’s Holiday Raffle entries. We will be supporting these groups this year with a financial donation and/or through our office/client volunteer events.

Rock Steady Boxing of Michiana
The mission is to improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s disease through a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum.
Oinking Acres Farm & Rescue
The mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, and advocate for abandoned, neglected, abused, and unwanted pot-bellied pigs and other farm animals in our community. We also provide sanctuary for those who are un-adoptable. Oinking Farms is in Brownsburg, IN.
Hope Ministries Soup Kitchen South Bend
The Downtown Soup Kitchen has welcomed guests and provided them with a delicious, hearty soup meal for over 30 years on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Social Hall. Guests are welcome to dine in and/or take carry-out bags.
Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph Co.
Helping local youth repair foundations which have been damaged by abuse, neglect, homelessness, and lack of resources by teaching them how to overcome the complex barriers to self-sufficiency.
Christ Child Society of South Bend
The South Bend Chapter of the Christ Child Society is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to the personal service and clothing of all needy children and infants in the love and spirit of the Christ Child.
St. Jude’s Children Hospital
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Alzheimer’s Association
This marks our 9th year supporting this great organization that has touched the lives of so many of us.
Food Bank of Northern Indiana
Supporting the Michiana area by providing food to the underserved in the community as well as participating in the “Feeding America BackPack” Program.
Ronald McDonald Charities of Michiana
Offering a soft bed, a hot meal, and a quiet place to gather one’s thoughts, not just overnight, but for weeks or even months, while your child is just steps away from you in the hospital.
Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America and its national network of volunteers, placed more than 2.7 million sponsored veterans’ wreaths on headstones of our nation’s service members at 3,702 participating locations, including Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN. The wreath-laying that began more than 30 years ago is still held annually on the second or third Saturday of December.

Offering a soft bed, a hot meal, and a quiet place to gather one’s thoughts, not just overnight, but for weeks or even months, while your child is just steps away from you in the hospital.
American Breast Cancer Association
This charitable organization is focused on breast cancer prevention by promoting early detection, education, and screening services.
Center for Hospice Care
The Center helps patients, and their loved ones experience the best possible quality of living, even as they face the end of life, through compassionate hospice and palliative care.
Cultivate Food Rescue
Through strategic partnerships, Cultivate Food Rescue is a leader in perishable food rescue, procurement, redistribution and education, in order to meet the nutritional needs of the food-insecure in our community.
Pet Refuge
This no-kill organization protects the health and welfare of every animal placed in its care, as well as providing the best possible placement of these animals in their “forever homes.”
REAL Services
Assists members of our community in maintaining their independence, while finding meaning and satisfaction in their lives. Some services include helping individuals understand and manage their finances, providing nutritious meals to homebound persons, mobilizing seniors for their essential appointments and meetings, and assisting low-income households with electric and heating expenses.
Riley’s Children Hospital
A top-ranked children’s hospital where their “little” patients, receive the best-in-class care across every pediatric specialty known to medicine while utilizing the latest innovations and treatment options.
Salvation Army
Assists our community by building programs designed to offer immediate relief, short-term care, and long-term growth in the areas that will best benefit the community. Some areas of support are: homeless shelters, food pantries, life skill education, job training, and after-school programs for children.

Hospice House of Mishawaka
Offering a number of services to assist those in the community who are experiencing the effects of a life-limiting illness.
National Kidney Foundation
Providing all patients with access to care, treatment and the guidance needed to cope with a kidney disease diagnosis.
Love Way
Transforming the lives of individuals with special needs through compassionate therapeutic equestrian experiences.
Play For Jake Foundation
This Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of sudden cardiac arrest in youth by partnering with schools to provide heart screenings for its students as well as to raise funds and awareness around the importance of AED’s.
