Client Outings
2024 Holiday Raffle
Thank you to those who participated in our 5th Annual Holiday Raffle. Once again we are humbled by your generosity and care for our community.
Listed below are the charitable organizations that Verso Financial selected from this year’s Holiday Raffle entries. We will be supporting these groups this year with a financial donation and/or through our office/client volunteer events.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation – Helping provide mortgage free homes to fallen first responders and Gold Star families by building and providing specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
Sleep In Heavenly Peace – Our Mission is “NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!” We are an organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need of a bed and a safe place to sleep.
A Rosie Place for Children – This is the first (and only) specialty hospital in the state of Indiana exclusively for children who are medically fragile. Although Rosie Place is a highly equipped hospital capable of caring for the most complex pediatric conditions, they emphasize their home-away-from-home environment for respite care.
Hope International – This faith-based organization provides microfinance loans, a safe place to save, and other financial services to empower entrepreneurs who live in poverty to invest in their businesses and provide for their families
Suitcases for Foster Kids – Foster kids usually have a trash bag to carry around their personal items when moving from one family to another. There are numerous organizations in the area that provide suitcases for these kids.
Ronald McDonald House – Verso staff and clients volunteer to help on the Coffee Cart for the month of June. The cart provides snacks, drinks, plush animals and small toys to patients and their family members who are staying at Ronald McDonald house. Ronald McDonald House offers a soft bed, a hot meal, and a quiet place to gather one’s thoughts, not just overnight, but for weeks or even months, while your child is just steps away from you in the hospital.
Food Bank of N. Indiana – Verso and our clients participate in hands-on volunteer events packing bags and boxes of food in support of the underserved in the Michiana area. One highlight being the “Feeding America Backpack” Program which provides food for school children over the weekends when food for their meals may be in limited supply.
Alzheimer’s Association –This marks our 9th year supporting this great organization that has touched the lives of so many of us.
Wreaths Across America – Wreaths Across America and its national network of volunteers place more than 2.7 million wreaths on headstones of our nation’s service members at 3,000 participating locations, including Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN. The wreath-laying that began more than 30 years ago is still held annually on the second or third Saturday of December.
Hope Ministries – Verso and our clients provide food, clothing and personal hygiene items to the underserved in our communities. We collect these items at various Verso client events throughout the year.

Rock Steady Boxing of Michiana
The mission is to improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s disease through a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum.
Oinking Acres Farm & Rescue
The mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, and advocate for abandoned, neglected, abused, and unwanted pot-bellied pigs and other farm animals in our community. We also provide sanctuary for those who are un-adoptable. Oinking Farms is in Brownsburg, IN.
Hope Ministries Soup Kitchen South Bend
The Downtown Soup Kitchen has welcomed guests and provided them with a delicious, hearty soup meal for over 30 years on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Social Hall. Guests are welcome to dine in and/or take carry-out bags.
Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph Co.
Helping local youth repair foundations which have been damaged by abuse, neglect, homelessness, and lack of resources by teaching them how to overcome the complex barriers to self-sufficiency.
Christ Child Society of South Bend
The South Bend Chapter of the Christ Child Society is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to the personal service and clothing of all needy children and infants in the love and spirit of the Christ Child.
St. Jude’s Children Hospital
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Alzheimer’s Association

Supporting the Michiana area by providing food to the underserved in the community as well as participating in the “Feeding America BackPack” Program.
